Magic Lessons &
School Programs

Magic lessons and classes are available for groups, organizations, and serious individuals.  The classes cater to the ability of the student.  Basic & commercial effects are examined and explained with the emphasis on PERFORMANCE.  No "magic secrets" are exposed.  However, those developing their talent will be given means to pursue their interests.

School programs focus on learning performance skills.  Depending on the length of the course, students can learn the basics or advance to put on a full scale show.  The classes or seminars are for ages 9 and up.

The Alaska Magic Kids

This is an organization that grew out of magic camps and classes.  Kids come together on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of each month at Kaladi Brothers (off Brayton Dr.) in Anchorage.  (6:30-8pm)
The group is composed of magic enthusiasts ages 7 to 17 who like learning and performing magic.  There are no classes or formal teaching of magic at the meetings.  But each month the group has a theme which they perform.  (Ropes, cards, comedy magic, etc.)

Each year the group puts on the Alaska Magic Kids Holiday Magic Extravaganza.  This is held annually from December 26 through December 29th at the Snow Goose Theater in Anchorage with 2 shows daily.  All members are invited to perform their own individual routines and participate in the illusions.  Each year a sensational headline act is brought up from outside Alaska to star in the show.  It's a great opportunity for the kids (and their parents.  Speaking of whom - are always welcome to attend and help out.)
In addition to this BIG SHOW there are other opportunities to perform.  Such things as the Pizza Take Over at Round Table Pizza, the Alaska State Fair, and Anchorage's Kite Day have been venues in the past.
The Program Director is, none other than, the MagicGuy, Don Russell.  So, contact us for information!
